Don’t Drink … Play!

[ English | Deutsch | Español | Français | Italiano ]

If you like to have a drink every once in a while, keep your money at home if you set out to do your drinking in a casino. I am serious. Leave your evening bag, your money belt, and leave all cash, credit cards and cheques back at the hotel. Only take only the money you intend to use on beverages, tipping and only the pocket change you anticipate to burn and keep the rest behind.

Pessimistic? Not at all. Just realistic. You might experience a profit after a drunken night out with your compatriots and be blessed enough to hit a long toss at a smokin craps game. Don’t forget that story seeing that it’s as brief as it gets if you always drink and wager. The two simply do not mix.

Leaving your money back at the hotel might be a little drastic, but defensive actions for excessive behavior is necessary. If you wager to profit, then do not consume alcohol and play. If you can afford to toss away your cash nary a worry, then consume all the gratuitous alcohol your stomach can handle, but don’t carry charge cards and checkbooks to throw into the mix of following losses after your dead drunk head throws away all the cash!

Let me to take this a single step more. do not drink alcohol and then jump online to bet in your favorite casino either. I love to cocktail from the coziness of my abode, however since I am connected through Neteller, Firepay and keep credit cards at my fingertips, I can’t drink and wager.

Why? Although I do not drink alcohol to excess, when I drink, it’s absolutely sufficient to befuddle my better judgment. I gamble, so I don’t consume alcohol when gambling. If you are a drinker, don’t bet when you do. Both create a ferocious, and costly, drink.
