Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an appealing story to the Cambodia gambling dens that reside just over the dividing line from nearby Thailand, in which gambling den wagering is against the law. Eight casinos are established in a relatively tiny area in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia gambling dens is in a prime location, a 3 to four hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two biggest wagering locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The phenomenal income accrued from the gambling dens ranges from 7.5 million dollars to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a number of limitations requirements for casino ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mainly Thai; still, financing sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and despite the fact visas are supposedly necessary to cross, there are methods around this, as is accurate of many borders.

The initial Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in 1998, leaving only one gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary barge casino, contains one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and sixty gaming tables. The Naga gambling hall never closes with 42 tables of mini-baccarat banque, four tables of chemin de fer, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The 1st gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown soon followed. A total of 150 slots and five table games at the Golden Crown and 104 slots and 68 table games at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slot machine games and seventy table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and 96 gaming tables, including eighty seven punto banco (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slots and 66 of the common table games, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the eight casinos in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machines and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of a multinational resort and hotel complex that features a number of luxuries accompanying the casino, which provides 10,000 sq.ft. of 130 slot machines and 88 gaming tables.
